Alan Wilkinson Engineering was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Alan Wilkinson 1979, the company founded in Yeovil in the county of Somerset . He manufactured plastics and supplied aircraft manufacturers, among other things . In 1990 the production of automobiles and kits began . The brand name was AWE . Production ended in 1998. A total of about 15 copies were made.

vehicles

Wilkinson made the Roadster model . This was a 1930s style doorless roadster . The options were the Pintall versions with steering front fenders and Redwing with fixed front fenders. The basis was a modified chassis from Triumph . There was a choice of chassis from the Triumph Herald with a four-cylinder engine and from the Triumph Vitesse with a six-cylinder engine . A plastic body was mounted on top.
