Elysee is a British car brand.

Brand history

1991 or 1993 Liam Wilkinson founded the company Gemini Cars in Hucknall in the county of Nottinghamshire . He started producing automobiles and kits . The brand name is Elysee . JB Sportscars from Shepperton , Surrey under the direction of John Keywood continued production from 1999 to 2001. After a long break, Caburn Engineering from Haywards Heath in West Sussex took over the project in 2010. A total of around 20 copies have been made so far.

The only model is the sprint . This is the replica of the Lotus Elan , but with fixed headlights. Initially the vehicle was technically based on the Vauxhall Chevette and from 1999 on the Ford Sierra . A ladder frame formed the basis. In addition to Vauxhall Motors and Ford , engines also came from Fiat . Caburn developed a new chassis .
