Nostalgia Cars UK Limited is a British manufacturer of automobiles and restoration operation .

Company history

Chris Boyer, Simon Davis and Malcolm Rolfe founded on February 9, 1999, the company in Creech St. Michael at Taunton in the county of Somerset . They started producing automobiles and kit cars . The brand name is Nostalgia . Rolfe left the company in 2006. Matthew Ambrose took over the company together with his mother Heather Ambrose in November 2011. A total of over 200 copies have been made so far.

The company produces replicas of classic automobiles.

The first Classic 120 model appeared in 1999 and is a replica of the Jaguar XK 120 . The vehicles are powered by a six-cylinder engine from Jaguar Cars . About 100 copies of this model have been made so far.

The Classic 140 has been part of the range since 2000 . It corresponds to the Jaguar XK 140 and has so far found around 75 buyers. The differences to the Classic 140 are minor.

The C-Type Replica was released in 2004. This replica of the Jaguar C-Type is based on mechanical components from the Jaguar XJS and Jaguar XJ 6 . The displacement of the six-cylinder engines is between 2800 cm³ and 4200 cm³. The standard version of the open two-seater body is made of fiberglass . Alternatively, an aluminum body is available. Around 25 copies have been made so far.

The NC 1000 Coupé or Ogle SX 1275 is a much smaller vehicle. It is 330 cm long, 147 cm wide, 119 cm high and weighs 569 kg. The basis is a mini and its four-cylinder engine . It is a replica of the Ogle SX 1000 by Ogle Design from the 1960s. This coupé has found around ten buyers since 2006.

In 2013, the company exhibited the Ogle with the British registration number VJN 392 at the Goodwood Revival . This vehicle was restored by Nostalgia Cars and received a self-made body.
