Brand name Metaline
The Metaline 690 was a replica of an AC Cobra and only available as a kit. The basis was a semi-spaceframe chassis. A one-piece body was mounted on it. In some designs it was made entirely of aluminum , in others of fiberglass and carbon fiber . The open body offered space for two people. Various V8 engines powered the vehicles.
In the fall of 1981 the kit was offered for £ 1017.75 including VAT in Kitcars & Specials magazine . This made it one of the first British-made AC Cobra replicas. A total of about 25 copies were made.
Brand name Brooker
The Brooker 690 was the same vehicle. However, Metaline only delivered this model as a complete vehicle.
