Company history
Dave Fisher founded the company in 1983 with Alan Jones and John Gurney in Smethwick , West Midlands . He started producing automobiles and kits . The brand name is Kingfisher Kustoms . A total of around 500 copies have been made so far.
vehicles
Chenowth and Kommando are dirt track racing cars . A tubular steel frame forms the basis. Various engines from the four - cylinder boxer engine of the VW Beetle to V6 engines and V8 engines drive the vehicles. So far, about 255 copies have been made.
The Kombat was a VW buggy that was developed from the Vulture by Vulrod Motors . The basis was a modified and shortened chassis from the VW Beetle. Between 1983 and 1991 it found around 100 buyers.
The competitor , a street-legal version of the command , originated about 40 copies from 1984 to 1990.
The Kango was a multi-purpose vehicle that was originally designed in South Africa. The unmodified Beetle chassis with a 240 cm wheelbase formed the basis. This model was on offer from 1985 to 1990 and found around twelve buyers.
The Kal was a visually modified VW Beetle. Around 100 kits were made between 1989 and 1993 .
