Powerdrive Limited was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company from the London district of Wood Green began in 1954 with the production of automobiles. The brand name was Powerdrive . David Gottlieb was the body designer. Production ended in 1957. Another source gives the construction period from 1955 to 1958. Coronet Cars took on the design for the construction of its own vehicles.

The only model was a microcar . It was a tricycle with a single rear wheel. A two-cylinder - two-stroke engine of the British Anzani Motor Company with 322 cc displacement and 15 PS performance was mounted in the rear and drive to the rear wheel. The transmission had three gears. The open body was made of aluminum and offered space for three people. The original price was £ 412 .
