Auto Build-up Services Limited was a British manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
Jonathan Michael Homewood, who previously for Bright Wheel Replicas worked, founded on 9 December 1986, the company in Three Legged Cross in the county of Dorset . His brother Nick was also employed in the company. Carolyn Jane Homewood was also a director. First they supplied Broadbest with chassis . In 1988 the production of automobiles and kits began . The brand name was ABS . Production ended in 1991. A total of about five copies were made.
One of the buyers was Alan Milford. He took over the project, founded Prestige Sports Cars in Ringwood and continued production with the help of Nick Homewood between 1994 and 1995.
vehicles
The company made replicas of the Lamborghini Countach . The basis was a self-made chassis. A two-seater body was mounted on it. There was a choice of V6 and V8 engines.
The Monaco version had a Targa roof . In the Year 1988, a cost kit 6250 pounds plus VAT , is not recorded while the price of a complete vehicle. Three copies were made by 1991. The successor was the Prestige Monaco .
The Scorpion version was the coupe . A kit cost £ 5,700 plus VAT in 1988. About two copies were made by 1991. The successor was the Prestige Denaro .
