Jimini is a British car brand.

Brand history

1973 Dave Cameron founded the company Vanspear in Peterborough in the county of Cambridgeshire . He started producing automobiles and kits . The brand name is Jimini . RJB Electronics (Shepperton) continued production from 1976 to 1977, JA Developments from 1981 to 1983 , and Highlander Cars from Curbridge , Hampshire from 1983 to 1986 . Between 1986 and 1990 Dave Cameron was again the manufacturer with Jimini Cars from Botley in Hampshire. Ken and Carl Coombs from Jimini Automobilesfrom the same place produced from 1990 to 1993. The rival Scamp Motor Company from Rowfant in West Sussex took over the whole thing in 1993 with the aim of stopping production. However, they still delivered 40 kits to a company in Trinidad . Production at Scamp ended in 2002. Kerrion Marsh has been manufacturing the vehicles since 2003; first with Jimini Automotive from Botley and then with Jimini Motor Company from Aldridge in West Midlands .

A total of about 460 copies have been made so far.
