Autocult was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Raymond Craig founded the company in 1982 in Dunbar , East Lothian . He started producing automobiles and kits . The brand name was Autocult . Production ended in 1985. A total of about three copies were made.

vehicles

The first model was the Cobra . This was a replica of an AC Cobra . A copy was made between 1982 and 1983.

The Tigress followed . The chassis of the VW Beetle formed the basis . The four - cylinder boxer engine was mounted in the rear. A fiberglass coupé body was mounted on the chassis, providing space for 2 + 2 people. A special feature were the doors that opened like the Lamborghini Countach . The optics are described as not the most beautiful vehicle and a bit unfortunate . Between 1983 and 1985, either about two or a few copies were made of this model.
