Squire is a former British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company Squire Car Manufacturing Company Limited by Adrian Squire started in 1934 in Henley-on-Thames with the production of automobiles.

In July 1936 the company went into liquidation . Until 1939 some vehicles were still assembled from existing parts.

It was produced only one model with a four-cylinder engine of Anzani equipped. The engine developed from a displacement of 1496 cm³ with the help of a compressor between 100 and 105 hp . The two- and four-seat bodies were made by Vanden Plas and Markham of Reading . Only a few vehicles were produced: The information on the production figures vary between 7, 10, 19 and a maximum of 24.

A Squire vehicle occasionally takes part in the Mille Miglia in Italy .
