Railton was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company Railton Cars from Cobham in Surrey began in 1933 in the old production facility Invicta brand with the assembly of automobiles. Company founder Sir Noel Macklin had previously sold the rights to his Invicta brand and now sold his new developments under the name of the designer Reid Railton . The designer Railton, who later became famous for his record-breaking vehicles, contributed little to the brand's designs, but was involved in the sale of the vehicles through license fees.

In 1939 production was stopped.
