Classic Motor Carriages was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in 1973 in Miami , Florida . Another source suggests that the company was called Tiffany Motor Cars until 1978 , was based in Oka Lopa (meaning Opa-locka ) in Florida, was run by Charlie Massing and had 13 employees. The website opencorporates names March 29, 1978 as the founding date. The production of automobiles and kit cars began. The brand name was CMC , with Classic Motor Carriages and Classic also being passed down. One source suggests that the company traded as Royale Manufacturing Co. from 1977 , which no other source confirms. According to two sources, George Levin took over the company in 1978 and expanded. It was one of the largest in the business and had many different models on offer. Fiberfab Inc. was acquired in the 1980s . Production ended in 1996 following a Florida State court ruling. The company allegedly cheated on customers.

A source says that after the company was dissolved, it initially traded as Street Beasts and now as Tiffany Cars .

Another source mentions the alternative names Innovative Street Machines , Classic Auto Replicas , CARS , Auto Resolution , Champion Auto Works and GGL . It should be noted that George Levin founded Auto Resolution Inc. in Fort Lauderdale on April 15, 1996 , and Auto Resolution Ltd. on the same day . founded Innovative Street Machines Inc. in Miami and on September 17, 1998 in Fort Lauderdale . These companies also no longer exist.

Replicas of classic automobiles were on offer . The models included AC Cobra , Bugatti , 1933 Ford Victoria, 1934 Ford, MG TD, and Porsche 356 Speedster . For the Speedster, the chassis of a VW Beetle was shortened to 210 cm.

Separate models in the 1930s style were Gazelle , Royale and Tiffany . The Gazelle resembled a Mercedes-Benz of the period mentioned and was based either on a chassis from the VW Beetle or the Ford Pinto . The Destiny is also named. What is striking about these models is the inclined radiator grille , which narrows towards the bottom, the partially integrated headlights , the front bumper and the spare wheels mounted on both sides of the bonnet .
