The Autoette Electric Car Company was an American automobile manufacturer based in Long Beach , California between 1952 and 1957 .

The Autoette was an open, three-wheeled vehicle with two seats. The single front wheel was steered with a handlebar. The vehicle looked a lot like a golf cart . The cars were driven by 24 V electric motors . Depending on the wheelbase and length, the models were called 800 , 850 and 875 . Four 6 V batteries supplied the energy that was sufficient for 55–65 km.
