Electra King
Electra King was an American automobile brand, the 1961 to 1981 by the B & Z Electric Car Company in Long Beach was built.
description
In 1961, the electric city car with a simple, smooth-surfaced, but closed GRP body was presented. There was a two-seater model with fixed doors and a four-seater model where the sides were only closed with curtains and the rear seats were turned back. A 24 V direct current motor with 735 W power was used for the drive . Five 6 V batteries (four for the drive, one for the lighting) provided a range of around 70 km. The 2565 mm long, three-wheeled cars were offered in this form until 1966.
In 1967 the four-seater model was discontinued. For this, a model with four wheels was added for the first time. The new vehicles were only 2515 mm long. In 1972 the engine output increased to 1.1 kW, but the range was only 40 km. Motors with 735 W, 1.47 kW or 2.6 kW were also available on request.
In 1974 there were foot or hand controls, steering wheel or steering column and three or four wheels on request. The Elektra King was built until 1981, although the four-wheeled model has been discontinued in recent years.
Later, B&Z Electric Car no longer manufactured its own vehicles, but imported foreign electric cars into the US market.
