Contemporary Classic Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Peter E. Bayer founded the company. January 31, 1980 is handed down as the date. The seat was first in Mount Vernon in New York State and later in Mamaroneck in the same state. The production of automobiles began. The brand name was Contemporary , possibly with the addition of Classic . 80 vehicles had been built by 1981. Toy Store Classics GmbH from Munich offered the vehicles in Germany . Production ended in 1995. On June 27, 2001 the company was dissolved.

The first model was a replica of the AC Cobra . The suspension came from the Jaguar E-Type . Various V8 engines from Ford with 6300 cc engine capacity to 7100 cc drove to the vehicles. The open body offered space for two people.

In 1985 the replica of the AC Cobra Daytona Coupé added to the range. There were no technical differences to the roadster .

The GT Roadster followed in 1994 . This was the replica of the open- top Ferrari Daytona . For this purpose, the usual chassis was extended.
