Heartland Glassworks was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was based in Bartlesville , Oklahoma . It made automobiles and kit cars . The brand name was Heartland , possibly with the addition of Glassworks . The production period is mostly given as around 1985 to 1990 or from 1985 to 1990. One source mentions 1981 or from 1981 to a maximum of 1993.

vehicles

The only model, Manx SR, was based on a model from Karma Coach Works , which in turn had taken it over from Meyers Manx . It was a kind of VW buggy . However, the body offered more weather protection. The Targa roof and the doors that opened towards the front , similar to the Lamborghini Countach, were striking . The basis was a chassis from the VW Beetle .
