Wil-Mac Products Inc. was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded on March 26, 1971 in Project City ( Shasta Lake ), California . Other sources name Costa Mesa and Redding , both also in California. In 1975, 1980 or around 1982 the production of automobiles and kit cars began . The brand name was Wil-Mac . Production ended in 1985 or 1986. On March 10, 1986 the company was dissolved.

Initially a trike was on offer. The four - cylinder boxer engine and other parts came from the VW Beetle . This model was also offered in Germany.

The scamp followed in 1981 . It resembled a Willys MB and also had many parts from the VW Beetle. The open body was made of steel . Hadley Engineering offered a similar vehicle.
