Daytona (make of car)

Daytona was an American automobile brand. The vehicles were only built in 1956 by Randall Products in Hampton, New Hampshire .

It was a tiny, simple runabout with two seats, no roof, no windshield or lighting. The simple body with smooth sides and curved front and rear ends was made of Formica , a composite material based on cardboard. The whole vehicle was only 1,829 mm long. An air-cooled single-cylinder engine from Briggs & Stratton , which was installed at the rear, provided 2 bhp (1.4 kW). The retail price was US $ 495.
