Autokit Industries was an American manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
Bruce Weeks, a student, founded the company in Oakland , California in 1970 . He started producing automobiles and kit cars . The brand name was Invader . In 1973 there was a license production in Spain by Tecnipol from Torrejón de Ardoz . Production ended in 1980 or 1985.
Kaylor Energy Products continued production from 1980.
vehicles
Flat sports cars were on offer . They were based on a chassis from the VW Beetle . The vehicles were powered by an air-cooled four - cylinder boxer engine . The closed body was made of plastic and was somewhat similar to the Ferrari Dino 246 . The double doors of plexiglass were removable.
