Heritage , with the addition of Automotive in some sources , was a US car brand.

Brand history

From 1986 Heritage Automotive & Fiberglass Replicar Bodies Ltd. first handed down from Poznan in Illinois . It made automobiles and kit cars .

Then Heritage Motor Cars Inc. from Miami , Florida followed . According to two sources, that was 1989. On April 18, 1989, the Heritage Legacy trademark was protected. This protection was terminated on November 5, 1993. According to a source, there was a collaboration with Classic Roadsters between 1991 and 1994 . This company was dissolved in 1991, 1993 or 1994.

From 1994 there was Heritage Industries based in Frazee , Minnesota .

Production ended in 1999 or 2001.

Special Cars Europe GmbH from Munich sold the vehicles in Germany in 1991 .

Replicas were on offer . The evolution was similar to the Ferrari F40 and was based on the Pontiac Fiero . The Magnum was modeled after the Ferrari 308 and the Rossa the Ferrari Testarossa .

The 500 K was the replica of a Mercedes-Benz 500 K . A V8 engine from Chevrolet powered vehicles. In German and English advertisements the vehicle bore the model name Legacy . Another model was similar to the Mercedes-Benz 540 K .

There were also replicas of the AC Cobra , the Lamborghini Countach and a model by Duesenberg .

After 1994 only the 500 K has survived. The British auction house H&H auctioned a vehicle from 1990 onwards on April 16, 1997 and expected a price of 20,000 to 22,000 British pounds . An Iowa dealer offered a 1988 vehicle in early 2017 for $ 39,900 . Another dealer offered a vehicle dated 2001.
