Company history

The company was founded on September 11, 1978 in St. James City , Florida . Other sources give Sebring in Florida. The production of automobiles began with the takeover of a project from Sebring-Vanguard . The brand name was Commuter . Production ended in 1982.

From July 30, 1981 to May 15, 1983, there was an office in Detroit , Michigan .

The Comuta-Car was the successor to the Sebring-Vanguard Citicar . This was a light vehicle with an electric motor . The voluminous bumpers were a noticeable distinguishing feature .
