Banjo Corporation is an American company.

Company history

The company was founded on April 28, 1969. It is based in Mineral City in Tuscarawas County , Ohio . Initially, John E. Finley, William B. Phillips and E. Lee Price were involved.

In the past it has made automobiles and kit cars . One source gives the period from 1968 to 1970, i.e. before the company was founded. The brand name was Banjo . A total of eleven vehicles were built.

Marilyn S. Domer, of New Philadelphia in the same county , has served as agent since July 22, 1998. Morris Domer is president.

The only model was the Banjo GT . The designer of this sports car was William Bruce Phillips. The coupé was relatively flat with a height of only 109 cm. A roadster is also mentioned. The chassis had a wheelbase of 254 cm . It was designed to accommodate various V8 engines from American manufacturers.

A vehicle was offered at the Techno-Classica in Essen in March 2018 . Octane magazine reported on the vehicle back in March 2016.
