Astro Designs Coach Builders was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was based in Canoga Park , California . It made automobiles and kit cars . The brand name was Astro Designs . Production ended around 1990.

vehicles

Initially, vehicles were built using kits from California Component Cars , Thoroughbred Coach Builders and Roaring Twenties Motor Car Company . These included the sterling , the British Nova corresponded, as well as a replica of the Mercedes-Benz 540 K . A dealer from Austria offered such a replica in 2013.

Ray Garrish designed the first Garrish Countach of his own . The body was similar to the Lamborghini Countach , but based on the Sterling from California Component Cars. A plastic body was mounted on a tubular steel frame. A V8 engine from the Cadillac Eldorado powered the vehicles.
