Avanti Motor Corporation was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded on August 25, 1999 in Las Vegas , Nevada . There were branches from February 16, 2000 in Georgia , from February 27, 2003 in Arizona , from March 21, 2003 in New York , from August 28, 2003 in California , from November 3, 2003 in Connecticut and from February 16, 2007 in Florida . In 1999 or 2001 the production of automobiles began which was marketed as Avanti . In 2006 production was relocated to Cancun , Mexico . Production ended in 2006 or early 2007. In 2008 the company was dissolved.

Coupe and Convertible were the successors to the Avanti II from Avanti Automotive Corporation , which in turn was the successor to the Studebaker Avanti . Tom Kellogg was the designer. With a 2720 mm wheelbase, the vehicles were 4765 mm long, 1877 mm wide and 1381 mm high. Until 2004 the platform and engine came from General Motors , then from Ford . The vehicles were powered by a V8 engine with a displacement of 4600 cm³ and an output of 300 hp .
