York Coachworks was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded on August 7, 1980 in Olney , Illinois . Darrell York and Ken W. Maines are named as owners. In 1980 the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Valiente . Production ended in 1981.

vehicles

The only model was a 1930s-style vehicle. A self-constructed chassis formed the basis. An open two-seater body made of plastic was mounted on top. A V8 engine of Lincoln with 7500 cc displacement powered vehicles. The long bonnet was striking. The front fenders tapered long and ended in front of the doors. The wheelbase was 348 cm.

The Chicago Tribune reported on the vehicle on February 15, 1981 when it was presented at the Chicago Auto Show .
