American Special Automotive Research and Design Organization of North Bergen , New Jersey manufactured automobiles between 1958 and 1959 that were marketed as Asardo . 100 vehicles per year were planned.

The asardo was a sports coupe derived from a four-cylinder - inline engine of Alfa Romeo was driven by an associated four-speed transmission. The engine with originally 1300 cc displacement was brought to 1485 cc displacement and made 135 hp . The GRP body was mounted on a lightweight tubular frame. Later there was a V8 engine of Buick with 3500 cc capacity. The double doors were unusual .
