Allied Industries International Inc. was an American manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
The company was initially based in Fremont , Nebraska . In 1967 the production of automobiles and kit cars began . The company quickly became known in the kit car industry with an extensive range of models. The brand name was Allied Industries . 1983 followed the move to Michigan City , Indiana . The company was registered there on May 17, 1982. Production ended in 1985. On December 31, 1987 the company was dissolved.
One division of the company was Sportsland Unlimited , based in Lincoln , Nebraska. Its factory was located in Odell , Nebraska.
vehicles
There were around twelve different models on offer. Some were replicas . The models included AC Cobra in the versions 289 and 427 , Bugatti , Cheetah , Ford GT 40 , MG TD and Porsche 356 Speedster .
One of their own designs was a tricycle. Another model was a minivan on a chassis of Volkswagen . With the combination of a gasoline engine and an electric motor , it was a hybrid electric vehicle .
The Sportsland Unlimited Division's CRV model was a replica of the AMT Piranha made by AMT Corporation . There was also a VW buggy .
