The Bocar Manufacturing Company was an American automobile manufacturer.

The Denver , Colorado company manufactured automobiles between 1958 and 1962 under the direction of Bob Carnes . The brand name was Bocar . A fire destroyed the plant in 1962.

Models

In 1958 the model appeared XP-4 , a supercar with tubular frame chassis and two-seat fiberglass - Roadster -Karosserie. The wheelbase was 2286 mm. The base engine was a V8 engine from the Chevrolet Corvette with a displacement of 4638 cm³ . Upon request, a Pontiac V8 engine with a displacement of 6063 cc could also be installed.

In 1959, the XP-5 model replaced the XP-4. Its wheelbase had grown to 2311 mm and there was only the Corvette engine with a displacement of 4.6 l, whose output was 315 bhp (232 kW). The selling price was US $ 8,700.

In 1960 the XP-5 was joined by the XP-6 . The wheelbase had grown again compared to the previous models, to 2642 mm. The Corvette engine had a compressor and its output grew to 400 bhp (294 kW) with the same displacement. The car cost US $ 11,700.
