Ron Ayers ran the company based in Simpsonville , South Carolina . In 1985 he manufactured automobiles and kit cars . The brand name was Ayers .
The Ayers family has been trading Classic Cars of South Carolina Inc. in Gray Court in the same state since 1991 .
vehicles
The only model was a replica of the AC Cobra . The doors and the windshield were from the MG Midget and the suspension from the Ford Mustang II . The engines available were not as powerful as those of competing models. One source called a V8 engine from Ford with 302 cubic inches . An automatic transmission was common . Thus, buyers were addressed who placed more value on suitability for everyday use than on sportiness.
