Coachsmiths was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company had its seat at the Black Stone Circle in North Little Rock in Pulaski County in the state of Arkansas . Another source gives Mabelvale in Arizona , however, the most famous city Mabelvale is in Pulaski County in Arkansas. The company manufactured automobiles and kit cars from 1985 to 1990 . The brand name was Coachsmiths .

One model was the Blackstone Town Coupe . One source says Blackstone was the brand name too. It was a 1930s style vehicle. The basis was a chassis that came either from the Chevrolet Monza or the Pontiac Sunbird , and whose wheelbase was extended to 3477 mm. The suspension came from the Chevrolet Malibu . The chrome-plated radiator grille , a long bonnet and long, tapering front fenders that accommodated the disguised spare wheels were striking .

The Icon was a modification of the Pontiac Firebird , which was similar to the Ferrari Testarossa .
