Glassic Motor Car Company , until 1971 Glassic Industries Inc. , was an American automobile manufacturer that was based in Palm Beach, Florida from 1966 to 1976 . The company was founded by Jack Faircloth and his son Joel as Glassic Industries, Inc. in West Palm Beach. In 1972 the company was sold to Fred Pro and subsequently moved to Palm Beach and changed its name. In 1975 the company had to file for bankruptcy. The bankruptcy estate was partially taken over by Replicars Inc. and Total Performance .

1966 was replica of a two-door Ford Model A - Roadster based on the International Harvester Scout presented. The car had the four-cylinder in-line engine of the International with 2488 cm³ displacement and an output of 93 bhp (68 kW) at 4400 min −1 . The wheelbase was 2540 mm.

In 1968 a two-door Phaeton was added as a second model , otherwise there were few changes. In 1969 International enlarged the Scout's engine to 3202 cc, which was pretty much the same as the original Ford A engine. The power increased to 111 bhp (81.6 kW) at 4000 min −1 . The two cars were built in this form until 1971 and cost US $ 5,995 in the end. Up to then about 300 copies had been made.

In 1972, Fred Pro took over the company and introduced some changes to the models. The wheelbase has increased to 2591 mm and the International engine was by a V8 engine of Ford replaced, a power output of 210 hp (154 kW) at 4600 from 4949 cc min -1 scooped. The price increased by US $ 1000, - but the much more powerful engine no longer suited the vehicle and the expectations of the customers. In 1975 the output of the otherwise unchanged engine was given as 138 nhp (101.5 kW) on the basis of the new SAE output determination. The price rose to US $ 8,900.

In 1975 a completely new model was presented for the first time, the Romulus . It was a replica of the Auburn Speedster from 1935. Its wheelbase was 3226 mm and it was powered by the same 4.9 liter V8 from Ford. The retail price was US $ 19,000.
