Gatsby Coachworks Ltd. USA was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded on April 10, 1979 in San José , California . The production of automobiles and kit cars began. The brand name was Gatsby . There are also references to the name Gatsby Productions , according to one source as early as 1982, according to another source from 1989.

In 1998 JPR Cars Ltd. the enterprise.

vehicles

One model was the Gatsby . This was a 1930s-style vehicle similar to the Clénet Coachworks cars . The chassis came mostly from Ford and in other cases from General Motors . Initially, the body was made of steel and from 1983 optionally made of fiberglass .

The Griffin was the successor to the Scepter from the Scepter Motorcar Company . It had a Ford chassis and always had a fiberglass body.
