Motorcar Classics Inc. was an American manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
The company was founded on February 16, 1977 in Novato , California . Other sources name San Rafael , and North Hollywood , both also in California. Thomas F. Piper Jr. and William Piper were the founders. In 1979 the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Motorcar Classics . Production ended in 1985. Nothing is known after February 22, 1999.

The Lance resembled a Mercedes-Benz SS . It is said to have been a copy of Classic Motor Carriages ' Gazelle . The chassis of the VW Beetle had a version . In addition, a separate chassis was also available, which took four-cylinder engines from the Ford Pinto and Ford Mustang II .
The Seneca was modeled after the MG TD . It also had engines from the Pinto and Mustang, including V8s .
There was also a replica of a Bugatti in the range.
