Esprit Coachworks Inc. was an American manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
The company was founded on August 3, 1982 in Downey , California . Other sources name Corona and Hawaiian Gardens , also in California. It sold kit cars from other manufacturers such as Fierro . In 1982 the company started producing automobiles and kit cars. The brand name was Esprit . Production ended in 1986.
vehicles
The Pantera model was a replica of De Tomaso Pantera . There were with the Cobra a replica of the AC Cobra . A chassis from the VW Beetle and a tubular frame were available. On the one hand, a V8 engine from Ford and on the other hand various V6 and V8 engines from American production have been handed down.
The Fierro was also a VW-based sports car .
