Storey 14 hp (1920)

Storey Motors was a British automobile manufacturer based in Clapham Park in London from 1919 to 1929 . Middle-class cars were built there .

In 1919 the 14 hp , an open, two-seater touring car was released. It had a side-controlled four-cylinder in-line engine with a displacement of 2.3 l. At its side was the slightly larger 20 hp , also a four-cylinder, but with a displacement of 3.0 l. Both models were built until 1920.

In 1920 three new four-cylinder models came out: the 10/12 hp offered 1.3 l displacement and 18 bhp (13.2 kW) with a wheelbase of 2997 mm, the 15.9 hp had 2.8 l displacement and 35 bhp (26 kW) a wheelbase of 3150 mm and the 20 hp 3.8 l displacement and 47 bhp (34.5 kW) on the same chassis. The company sourced the bodies exclusively from Thames Motor Body and Engineering Company .

In 1921 the company went bankrupt and was not re-established until 1925. Three models were produced again: the small 10/25 hp had a displacement of 1.5 l and a wheelbase of 2591 mm, the medium 14/40 hp had a displacement of 2.1 l and a wheelbase of 3200 mm. Both were four-cylinder. The top model 17/70 hp had a six-cylinder in-line engine with 2.7 l displacement and was built on the same chassis as the middle model.

These three models were built until 1929. Then the company went bankrupt again - this time for good.
