The Xtra Cars Ltd. was a British manufacturer of cycle cars .

Company history

The company was founded in Chertsey , Surrey in September 1921 . In May 1922, the production of three-wheeled cycle cars , designed by Cuthbert Clarke, began. The brand name was Xtra . In May 1924, Xtra Cars Ltd. liquidated at the owner's request and liquidated in July 1926.

vehicles

Initially only the Xtra Monocar was offered . This was a single seater with a small single cylinder engine .

In November 1922, the Xtra Sociable added to the range. This vehicle offered two seats side by side. In addition to the well-known single-cylinder engine, a larger and more powerful V2 engine was also available .
