Rob Roy was a British car brand. It was named after the fictional character Rob Roy by Walter Scott .

Brand history

The Kennedy Motor Company from Glasgow began in 1922 with the production of automobiles . The brand name was Rob Roy . Marketing ended in 1925 or 1926.

Models

The 8/10 HP model appeared in 1922 . The open, two-seater touring car had a two-cylinder in - line engine with SV valve control and around 1000 cm³ displacement and disc wheels. The wheelbase of the 3708 mm long light vehicle was 2591 mm.

In the following year he was given the larger 12/20 HP . It had a four-cylinder in-line engine from Dorman with a capacity of around 1500 cc . The 4039 mm long car was available with a 2591 mm or 2921 mm wheelbase, in the first case with two seats, in the other case with four. The 8/10 HP was also only offered for one year with a smaller 0.85 liter engine.

In 1924 the 10/12 HP replaced the 8/10 HP . It had an inline four-cylinder engine from Coventry-Climax with a displacement of around 1250 cc.
