The Palmerston Motor Company Ltd. was a British automobile manufacturer.

Company history

The company Palmerston Motor Company Ltd. from Boscombe near Bournemouth began manufacturing automobiles in 1920. The brand names were Palm and Palmerston . In 1921 the name was changed to Palmerston Lytcar Co. and later to Palmcars Ltd. Production ended in 1923.

The first model was the Palmerston 5/7 HP . A two - cylinder boxer engine powered the vehicle. In 1922 the Palm 9 HP appeared with a four-cylinder engine . Both models had a front engine, a three-speed gearbox and cardan drive to the rear axle. Acetylene lamps were a special feature .
