The Payze Light Car Co. Ltd. was a British automobile manufacturer.

Company history

The company was based in Cookham in the county of Berkshire . In 1919 a prototype was announced. In 1920 the production of automobiles began . The brand name was Payze . The designer was A. Payze. Production ended in 1921. The original price was £ 450 . A total of between 15 and 20 vehicles were built.

Models

The only 10 HP model was a conventional small car. The open touring car body offered space for three to four people. The wheelbase was given as 2591 mm. The four-cylinder - line engine with flathead engine , 1490 cc capacity and 19.1 bhp (14 kW) at 2000 min -1 came from Coventry simplex and the transmission of Moss . The radiator looked similar to that of the contemporary Rolls-Royce .
