Vandys

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Vandys Limited was a British automobile manufacturer based in Notting Hill (London) from 1920 to 1921 . The brand name was Vandy .

The 23.5 hp was the only model and was inspired by US automotive engineering. It was powered by a water-cooled , side-controlled six - cylinder in - line engine with a displacement of 3.7 l . The wheelbase of the large car was 3048 mm and its track width was 1473 mm. The bodies were supplied by the Poole Manufacturing Company from Poole in the south of England .

Such large vehicles hardly found a market in the crisis-ridden Europe of the early 1920s and so the Vandy soon disappeared again.
