Company history

The company Ronald Twist & Company Ltd. from Watford began producing automobiles in 1919. The brand name was Tankette . The name was later changed to Tankette Ltd. and moving to London . Production ended in 1920.

The only model was a cycle car . A single - cylinder two-stroke engine from Union with 2.75 hp power drove the narrow-gauge rear axle via a chain. The two-speed transmission came from Burman. The open body offered space for two people. A special feature was that after the front axle tubes were pushed together to park the vehicle, the total width was only 90 cm.
