Daniel Augé et Cie was a French manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Daniel Augé founded the company in Levallois-Perret for the production of automobiles. There are different information about the year of foundation: 1896, 1897, 1898 or 1899. In 1901 or around 1901 production ended.

The first 4 CV model was a light two-seater with a two-cylinder engine that was arranged horizontally and had a glow tube ignition . The larger and more powerful 5 CV , 7 CV and 8 CV models followed later .

A four-seater double phaeton with a strikingly angular bonnet and 5 hp from 1901, which presumably came from Daniel Augé, was offered at auction by Christie's on November 20, 2000 , but not sold for DM 58,860 .

A two-seater vehicle of this brand with a flat hood and tall windshield occasionally competes in the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run .
