The Société Française des Autos Thermo-Pneumatiques , or SFAT for short , was a French manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
The Paris-based company began producing automobiles in 1903. The brand name was SFAT . In 1903, for example, a vehicle was shown at the Paris Motor Show . Production ended in 1904.

A four-cylinder engine in connection with compressed air provided the drive . The engine powered a compressor that directed air into a turbine that powered the rear wheels. This construction should make it possible to dispense with a transmission .
