Gaillardet was a French manufacturer of automobiles and engines .

Company history

The Société Française d'Automobile owned by Frédéric Gaillardet from Puteaux began producing automobiles in 1899. The brand name was Gaillardet . In addition to the production of our own vehicles, built-in engines were supplied to various manufacturers, and models for doctoresse were developed. Production ended in 1902.

The only model was a tricycle with the single wheel in the front. A single-cylinder engine with 800 cm³ displacement and 5 to 6 HP power provided the drive .

Built-in engines were supplied to the following companies: Barré , Bender e Martiny , Bourguignonne and Underberg .
