The origin of automobiles were mobile chainsaws. The first model had a two-cylinder engine that was arranged horizontally and powered the rear wheels via a chain. The engine output was either 6 hp or 8 hp. This was followed by a four-cylinder model with 12 hp and a tonneau body shape . In 1902 a four-cylinder model with 8 hp and a single-cylinder model with 9 hp were added.
