The Nancy company began manufacturing automobiles and utility vehicles in 1900. The brand name was Nancéienne . Production ended in 1903.

The opposed piston engines of the vehicles were created under a license from Gobron-Brillié . An output of 10 hp is given for an engine . The special thing about some engines was that they could run on alcohol instead of gasoline. A vehicle of this type won the alcohol class of the Paris – Roubaix car race in 1901 . In the same year, a four-seater Nancéienne reached an average speed of 43 km / h in the Paris – Berlin car race.
