The Société Passy-Thellier was a French manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

E. Mendelssohn & Co 1906 Ltd. preference share from March 4, 1906 with a representation of the factory and a car by Passy-Thellier; The business purpose was the sale of automobiles built by Passy-Thellier.

The Levallois-Perret company began producing automobiles in 1903. The brand names were Passy-Thellier and, from 1906, also Mendelssohn , after one of the directors, EG Mendelssohn-Bartholdy. Production ended in 1907. Solidor from Berlin manufactured Passy-Thellier vehicles under license.

Initially the two-cylinder models 8/10 CV and 10/12 CV as well as the four-cylinder model 16/20 CV with built-in engine from Aster were in the range. There was also the 12/14 CV with a four-cylinder engine from Abeille . The 24 CV appeared later in 1903 with a four-cylinder engine from Société Buchet . In 1906 the small single cylinder model 6/8 CV added to the range. The engines were mounted in the front of the vehicle and powered the rear axle via a cardan shaft .
