Établissements Industriels Raymond Thomson was a French manufacturer of engines and automobiles .

Company history

The Talence-based company manufactured parts for the engine industry as well as engines for automobiles and ships . In 1913 the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Thomson . Automobile production ended in 1928. It is not known when the company was dissolved.

First there was a model with a four-cylinder engine from Aster with 1496 cm³ displacement and two models with engines from Altos with either 1495 cm³ or 1990 cm³ displacement. In 1914, the large 40 CV model with a four-cylinder Janvier engine with a displacement of 6594 cc was added. The engine had a 100 mm bore , 210 mm stroke and side valves in a T-head . This engine was obsolete when it was introduced in 1914. This model was available until 1926.
