Automobiles Sans Soupapes (German: Automobile without Valves ) was a French manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

P. Schmitt or Bernard Verdy founded the company in Lyon in 1919 to manufacture automobiles. The brand name was ASS .

The company advertised with the slogan L'Automobile pour tous , meaning automobiles for everyone . Production ended in 1920. In total, only a few vehicles were built. P. Schmitt switched to Automobiles Beck .

The only model was a small car. A two-cylinder two - stroke engine from Thomas with a capacity of 1240 cm³ provided the drive . On offer were open two-seaters and four-seaters as well as a coupé . In March 1919 the new price was a low 4750 francs and in February 1920 it was too high a 10950 franc.
