Lombard was a French manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

André Lombard worked as a racing driver for Salmson until 1923 . In 1927 he decided to design his own automobile. Edmond Vareille was involved in the construction. Production initially took place at E. Briault in Courbevoie . From 1928 onwards, Les Fils de É. Salmson from Billancourt took the vehicles. Production ended in 1929. A total of 94 vehicles were built. BNC from Argenteuil took over some parts and unfinished vehicles.

Other sources indicate that production took place at BNC.

The company made sports cars. The vehicles had a four-cylinder engine with a displacement of 1093 cm³ and produced 49  hp . With a compressor , the engine output was 70 hp. The vehicles were also used in car races. For example, at the 1932 German Grand Prix at the Nürburgring .

A vehicle of this brand could be viewed in the now closed Autotron Rosmalen car museum in Rosmalen .
